
Stephen B. Kutzer is the CIO for Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT). He and his team are responsible for the overall design, implementation and support for all technology systems for the company. He also acts as a board and senior executive advisor on technology and related strategic initiatives.
Steve has 29 years of experience in Information Technology, with the past eight years being concentrated in commercial real estate. During his career, Steve has led projects of national importance to the goals of Homeland Security. He has designed and developed international data and communications networks, including most of Latin America's first internet connections for the World Health Organization. Steve has been a public speaker at national and international engagements on a variety of technical and leadership topics. Steve's consulting experience spans a broad range of industries including Real Estate; Financial Services; Local, State and Federal Government; DoD; Higher and K-12 Education; and Public Safety and Criminal Justice.
Prior to joining COPT in 2006, Steve was Senior Vice President of IT for CarrAmerica. In this position, Steve and his team completely modernized all systems, including accounting, finance, and human resources as well as infrastructure areas such as IP telephones and Storage Area Networks.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters of Information Technology from The George Washington University. He studied Japanese at Middlebury College.
