COPT'S Development & Construction Services (CDC) division provides fully-integrated development and construction management services for both new buildings and the value-added redevelopment of existing buildings. Our in-house team of professionals is focused primarily on the development and construction of buildings that COPT will own, lease and manage over the long-term.
We have unique expertise in developing technically sophisticated buildings that are environmentally sensitive, sustainable and flexible enough to meet unique customer requirements.
A comprehensive range of in-house services enables us to address all phases of base-building development and construction, including:

• architectural design
• LEED/green building evaluation and registration
• construction management
The CDC team works in conjunction with our land acquisition and asset management groups prior to design and development to analyze opportunities, considering such key factors as site location, projected leasing activity, area competition and the availability of amenities and road networks. Working with the local community, elected officials and local governments, we gain approval of solutions that can satisfy both the surrounding communities as well as our tenants.
Commitment to "Green" Each building we design and build incorporates the best practices of "green" development. Every new building is built to meet or exceed LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Silver certification standards. We also look to achieve LEED certification for redevelopment opportunities.
