Development Experience
COPT Development & Construction Services has the experience and capability to provide development and construction services for a wide range of projects, from office buildings, warehouses and retail shopping centers to facilities as diverse as power plants, hotels, ice arenas and wastewater treatment plants. Because of our concentration in the Baltimore-Washington technology corridor, we have successfully completed challenging projects such as data processing centers, shielded enclosures, clean rooms, laboratories and an anechoic chamber for ultra-sensitive sound testing.
Annually, the Interiors Group plans and constructs hundreds of thousands of square feet of tenant space. COPT has nine LEED APs on staff to provide guidance in "Green Building" design.

An example of our capabilities is the redevelopment of an obsolete punchcard property occupied by IBM. The entire exterior and interior of the building were renovated into a first class high technology office building for Teleport Communications Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T.
The Company is continually working to renovate the lobbies and working spaces of our office buildings to satisfy the demands of our strong and growing tenant base.
