North Gate Business Park at APG - Harford County, MD
North Gate Business Park at APG is located in Harford County, Maryland directly adjacent to Aberdeen Proving Ground’s north gate. The 56-acre development is expected to total more than 800,000 square feet, including eight office buildings and approximately 20,000 square feet of supporting retail, which is planned to include a bank, convenience store, food services and other uses which serve the needs of the Park's office tenants. All buildings in the park will be owned and operated by COPT.
North Gate is particularly well located, just outside Aberdeen Proving Ground’s Route 22 Security Gate, which admits cleared and non-civilian personnel. The parcel fronts on MD Route 22 (Aberdeen Thruway) and is only three miles from I-95 and two minutes from US Route 40N. North Gate is an ideal site for DOD contractors supporting the missions and organizations within the gates of APG.
As a result of the BRAC decisions in 2005, Aberdeen Proving Ground is gaining several new commands and a total of approximately 8,200 direct new workers. Chief among the new commands is the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Command currently operating at Fort Monmouth, NJ. Seven thousand high-tech military and civilian positions will transfer from Fort Monmouth to APG with C4ISR.
